About Stronger and Faster Durham

Since 2011, the Choice Performance Center (CPC) has trained runners and athletes of all ages and abilities in the Raleigh Durham area.  Located in south Durham conveniently off Highway 40 (Exit #278), the focus of our training is injury prevention.

 

The Stronger and Faster program was developed by strength coach Tyrone Irby specifically for runners and triathletes.  The basis of the program is improvement of functional movement patterns.  Each training program focused on the six human movements of push, pull, squat, hinge, loaded carry, and rotation.  Improving movement patterns translates to increased strength and muscular endurance.

 

 

Stronger and Faster Durham Training Options

 

Stronger and Faster offers several options for training including private coaching (30 minute sessions), small group class training, and remote strength training.

 

Private Strength Coaching

Rates begins at $39 per session (special rate for Fleet Feet Durham)

Stronger and Faster offers 30 minute private coaching session weekly.  Private coaching is designed to identify weaknesses and structural imbalance and work to overcome them and develop a balanced, functional, and strong body.  Programs are designed specifically for each athlete to build strength and injury resistance.

Sessions are available Monday-Friday beginning at 5am and Saturdays beginning at 7am.

 

Weekly Stronger and Faster Class

Wednesday @ 6:30pm (SOLD OUT)

Rate: $125 per 10 sessions

Since 2015, we have offered a weekly runners strength class at our studio.  Classes currently are six per class and offer 30–40-minute challenging workouts targeting the 6 human movements of push, pull, squat, hinge, loaded carry, and rotation.

 

Remote Strength

Rate: $99 per 10 week program

With remote strength, we provide a weekly workout that you can do in your spare time in your own home or your gym.  Remote strength only requires a jump rope, a pair of dumbbells, and a kettlebell.  The workouts are 30-35 minutes, and we suggest training 1-2 times per week.  All movements are demonstrated on our Facebook Runners Strength page.
