Together We Stand NC has designated July as the month for Unity.  We will host our second annual Unity 5K in the month of July 2022.

Together We Stand NC is a movement supporting peaceful demonstration and honest conversations to raise awareness of systemic racism and injustice to communities of color. The Unity 5K is our next step in continuing the conversation that began this year with Maud 2.23. The continued importance of community and conversation is clear.

Four weekends in July, in four cities, we will create a statewide conversation about unity utilizing local breweries and running stores as the foundation of the conversation. Join us for the Unity 5K presented by Together We Stand NC. The Unity 5K will support one local charity in each city.

Each registered runner/walker will receive the 2022 Together We Stand NC commemorative tee shirt. The 2022 Together We Stand shirt is the 7th in a series of wearable “conversation starters”.  The front of the red heather shirt features our iconic TWS Bull logo and the back features the phrase "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.). We chose this quote because we believe justice and equality must matter to ALL of us for change to occur.
