Welcome to the 2025 Crazy Eights Strength Challenge
Welcome to the 2025 Crazy Eights Strength Challenge presented by Stronger and Faster Durham. This event, started in 2024, challenges participants in four basic human movements: pull, push, squat, and hinge. The four exercises for the Challenge are Bodyweight Pull-up or Bodyweight Chin-Up, Barbell Bench Press, Barbell Back Squat, and Barbell Deadlift. Each participant chooses 3 of the 4 lifts to compete. The challenge has three rounds with reps at 8-8-4.

While most strength challenges focus on the 1 rep max (1RM), the Crazy 8 Challenge is to maintain strength over a period of 4-8 reps. Each participant is given 27 minutes to complete all 9 rounds of the challenge (each chosen lift has three rounds).

Points are awarded by multiplying the bodyweight of the lifter by the number of reps for the lift. Bonus points are awarded for lifts with body weight on the bar. In addition, all pullups and chin-ups are awarded bonus points.

The Challenge, hosted live at the Stronger and Faster Durham location from July 1-8 in RTP, North Carolina, can be performed anywhere
