Together We Stand is gearing up for its Third Annual Unity 5K at Ponysaurus Brewing in Durham, North Carolina, on Sunday, September 24.The event will be bigger and better than ever with a live DJ, special prizes and giveaways, new food and beverage options at Ponysaurus, and a chance to reconnect with friends and make new ones.

 

The run, which has an option of a 3.1 or 1-mile route, begins at 10 a.m. Walkers and runners of all abilities, races, gender orientations, and backgrounds are invited to join. Then, the party gets started back at Ponysaurus, where Raleigh-based DJ Butta will be spinning her signature, smooth-as-butter tracks to celebrate the occasion.

 

Our friends at HOKA are giving away a pair of Clifton 9 running shoes, and we’ll be raffling other prizes, thanks to our partners, Fleet Feet Durham, Ponysaurus, Triangle Chiropractic, OTF Timberlyne, and Lock Laces.

 

Runners and walkers can quench their thirst with Ponysaurus’s Oktoberfest specials, the Munich Helles and the award-winning Altbier, as well as the brewery’s beloved beer cocktails, like the Gosé Margarita and the Golden Rule Saison Mai Tai. The on-site pizzeria will also be slinging its artisan pies, including the newly launched Brisket, Onion, and Banana Pepper specialty pizza. Other recent menu additions include the Gooey Burrata appetizer and a House Salad, which can be made vegan. Even though summertime is drawing to a close, Ponysaurus will still offer its refreshing vanilla soft-serve ice cream.
